The Client
Egnyte is an enterprise file sharing service company based in Mountain View, CA. Its award-winning platform optimally balances IT’s need for security, control, and compliance with users’ demand for seamless access and file sharing capabilities to 100% of their data from any device, regardless of where files are stored.
The Signature
The concept is designed around the business name which is more accurately represented with a spark than a flame from the previous logo – once a flame, it’s past its ignition state.
Visually, the design takes advantage of the already unique spelling.
Clearance & White Space
The white space around the signature is an integral part of any identity. To maintain good logo visibility, the white space should always be respected and placing any elements inside this space needs to be avoided.
An ‘a’ equals the height of the Egnyte ‘Y’ logo mark.

In the context of icons
EGNYTE website contains a fair amount of icon designs and diagrams illustrating various technical aspects of the product, and the new logo mark needs to integrate into that existing graphic system.
When used in combination with the Egnyte cloud icon, the stroke weight of the logo mark spark matches the weight of the cloud icon stroke.

Patterns
Patterns can be used in a variety of applications not just in print and on screen, but physical spaces such as office interiors.
Interior Space
During the identity design project, EGNYTE were actively looking for a new office space to move into. Although these images are not the actual office, they illustrate how the new signature translates into a physical space.
