Solaid Logo & Identity Design
This was a pro-bono project for Solaid, a not-for-profit organisation providing help with education and healthcare in Cambodia.
The full name of the organisation is “Snow on Leaf”, which is what the logo mark is designed around.

Activities & Initiatives
The main Solaid signature lends it self to be easily expanded with the activities and initiatives own sub-brands and icons. Below are a few examples.
For the Price of a Coffee
The Solaid Village Support Project provides extra classes for over 160 children who are academically struggling. It also monitors the students’ health and nutrition. In addition, Solaid identifies the poorest families in the community and provide economic support, usually in the form of small grants.
The Village Support Project
The Village Support Project takes place in the village communities north of Kampot. The two main components involve intensive education for slow learners, and sustainable economic grants for the poorest families.
Solaid Healthcare
Solaid are concerned with preventing disease and increasing both the quality and quantity of life. Over the past century this has been one of medicine’s most cost-efficient and effective tools, yet it is one of the least-funded fields (it is almost non-existent in the developing world). Solaid propagate their preventive medicine message mainly in schools. This may include classes in oral hygiene, the importance of clean water, and bicycle safety. At its most basic, extreme poverty is the greatest risk factor for poor health, poor education, and premature mortality. Thus, our programs also work to improve the economic status of the most vulnerable, which in turn will lead to improved health outcomes.
Solaid Education
“Today there is an enormous demand in Cambodia to learn foreign languages, particularly English. However, the availability of quality instruction is largely restricted to the capital. Almost all ‘upwardly mobile’ jobs in Cambodia require knowledge of English, placing those who reside outside the cities (and even more so those living in villages) at a great disadvantage.
In the past we have operated a language school (for French and English) out of our facility in Kampot town. At this school we have used both traditional methods of language instruction interspersed with “healthy living” topics. Tough currently ‘on hold’, we plan to re-open this school in the future.
Our Language School plans also include developing outreach classes to be oered in the surrounding villages and schools.”
