‘sit’

Smart idea for a logo for an exhibition of chairs.
Organised in 1982 by Peter Murray, then editor of the RIBA Journal, and Terry Trickett of Trickett Associates, ‘sit’ enabled visitors to test and try over 130 chairs in current production.

The identity developed for ‘sit’, by graphic designers Trickett & Webb, played a key part in generating the success of the exhibition and has since been acclaimed world-wide for the power it exerts as a witty and attention-grabbing graphic image.
