Do They Know It’s Christmas?

I’m not a music critic but it’s the good cause that counts. Just a reminder of several facts that we keep forgetting,

100 million children worldwide don’t have the chance to go to school because they are poor. Yet education is a human right and one of the most effective routes out of poverty.

Half a million women die during pregnancy or childbirth every year, or one woman every minute, partly due to failed rich country promises on aid.

There are 42 million people living with HIV/AIDS worldwide and 8,000 people die every day. The spread of HIV and AIDS is fuelled by poverty, conflict, migration and inequality between women and men.
