Clever Logos!
It’s been a while since I started storing all sorts of logos on my computer, so I thought I could start posting them with short comments about each one and make some sort of online collection. That has been also one of the reasons I made this Journal. It won’t be very easy at first. It takes time to write, but it takes even more to find the good stuff to make posts. There are also numerous collections of logos on the web but, I hope I’ll make this one a little bit different.
The logos I will post are those which made me smile and think, the ones I wish I had thought of first! I think this is the best way to explain it.
I like it when logos take me by surprise, either with unexpected associations or playful ideas. Friends of mine have been a great help to my understanding of this aspect of graphic design. Also, the stuff I find online is a constant source of inspiration.
How competent I am? Well, that’s up to you to figure out. As I said before, English is not my first language, plus I’m not even that good at writing in my mother tongue so don’t expect me to throw in any deep analyses and professional criticism, coz I won’t. Take this as a simple hobby!
I guess I better start now, I think this is enough to make a few things clear.

The first in my collection is a Electra Entertainment logo.
I found it in The Compendium, published by Phaidon. This book is a collection of works from the Pentagram partners, probably the best known design company in the world … and that logo sais it all!
